About Our Club

SK8 Bay Figure Skating Club

Sk8 Bay is an energetic new organization in Bay City, Michigan. We offer a full compliment of classes and instruction for all levels of skaters from basic to advanced competitors. Our ice arena was completed in 1997, and is thought of as one of the best ice surfaces in the country.

In addition to this web site, we also provide a newsletter and general membership meetings to keep all of our members fully aware of the happenings in our club.

Sk8 Bay was founded on October, 2001. Our founding board of directors is a group of interested and dedicated volunteers who all have a common interest, to see the sport of figure skating flourish and grow in Bay City. Our group of skaters have been testing, competing and performing in exhibitions since the inception of the ice arena. With the formation of Sk8 Bay, they will have the opportunity to perform and test right here in Bay City. We became a full member club of the U.S. Skating Association as of May 2003. We hope by providing a club atmosphere, many other bright and talented skaters will come and see what Sk8 Bay and Bay City have to offer.
